Our Activities in Ukraine

Life-Sustaining Support & Food Provision

In the Transcarpathia region of western Ukraine, we operate multiple "Kitchen Points" in collaboration with the local Greek Catholic Church and Caritas. We provide warm meals twice a week to socially vulnerable populations, particularly the isolated elderly and the sick who are left behind. Over the past four years, we have delivered a total of 20,000 free meals to prevent starvation. Additionally, we distribute essential winter relief items, including over 100 tons of firewood, to help people survive the severe cold.

Construction of a Comprehensive Social Center

In Berehove city, we are supporting the construction and renovation of a "Comprehensive Social Center" to improve the welfare of war victims. The facility currently features a social kitchen for food distribution, a chapel for spiritual care, and a multipurpose room for community interaction. While it also serves as a temporary storage for relief supplies, it is designed to eventually function as a temporary home for the elderly who cannot be left alone, as well as a rehabilitation and daycare center for children.

Empowering People through "CSCs" (Cash for Social Contributions)

To support people's independence and help them rebuild their lives, we introduced the "CSCs" system. Displaced individuals receive cash assistance in exchange for participating in community activities, such as cooking meals, chopping firewood, or making handicrafts. This initiative helps them regain their dignity and a sense of purpose, empowering them to be active contributors rather than passive aid recipients.
